Living well, they say, is the best revenge. So make Grande Provence your weapon of choice this winter, and take advantage of their fabulous Winter Lunch Menu Special.
At R200 for a main course and glass of Angels’ Tears wine it’s not too shabby, considering the standard of cooking and the grand ambience. The extended á la carte lunch menu offers some blinding food and wine pairings too, so should your need be deep, this is where you can come to heal.
Guy Bennett, recently appointed as executive chef, has designed a seasonal menu to showcase the superlative estate wines. His choice of winter mains changes daily and gives preference to local produce.
The à la carte menu is individually priced for lunch, and is also available as a set 3 or 4-course menu for dinner. Sample choices: gin-cured Franschhoek trout and fresh Saldanha oysters, Karoo lamb neck with sweetbreads, tender pork belly, heirloom vegetables and braised beef kromeski.
The Restaurant at Grande Provence is open daily for lunch and dinner. The 3-course dinner menu is available at R450 per person or 4-courses at R550. The menu offers pairing suggestions for every dish from the wide range of elegant Grande Provence wines. The winter chef’s special lunch at R200 including a glass of wine, is available during weekdays only.
