Organiser Wilna Rabe has compiled her personal wishlist, adding some exciting new exhibitors to sell those perfect items for the festive season.
The market runs from Wednesday 25 October till Sunday 29 October.
Expect a treasure trove of original and hand-crafted items for your home, garden and wardrobe plus some luxurious treats.
Garden-lovers, get this: Festive Ideas is definitely getting into an organic mood this year! Peacock Palace will once again be packed with organic touches, gorgeous greenery, plants and recycled beauties.
Give your interior and exterior spaces a water-wise makeover with stunning hanging plants, beautiful succulents from The Little Fat Plant, green sculptures from Andreas Topiaries, botanical art from William Schlechter, concrete planters from Simply in Concrete as well as Enamel @Simondium Country Lodge.
If you want to put your green fingers to the test, try some of the amazing Super Sprout products, which come in handy slabs ready with heirloom herbs and vegetable seeds.
Other exhibitors include exquisite home-made fashion, indulgent linens, beautifully fashioned pendants and leather bags as well as hand-crafted jewellery.
The deli has solutions for your holiday pantry problems: choice homemade goodies like cookies and biscuits, fudge and brittle, preserves & natural sweetness from Darling Sweet and Darling Honey, traditional biltong and of course chef Mynhard Joubertās incredible Christmas cakes. (Don’t miss out on these Xmas cakes, the best I’ve ever tasted!)

If deli shopping makes you hungry, grab some delicious bites from the food trucks, a cuppa from the Colony Coffee station, a glass or two from the wine bar or a Wow Yummy Juice and some delicious Italian gelato. It’s a fabulous foodie feast!
Festive Ideas is super family-friendly, so take the little ones along and make a day of it. Chill out in the gorgeous gardens between shopping, while the kids scarper about in a dedicated childrenās play area. Ample and secure parking is available too. Entry is R30 per adult with no charge for kids and teens under 18.Ā Ā
Opening hours are: Wednesday to Saturday from 09h00-17h00, closing at 15h00 on Sunday.Ā The Simondiumās Country Lodge is easily accessible on the R45 between Paarl and Franschhoek, only 60km from the Cape Town central, 13 km from the Klapmuts turn-off and a quick 15km from Stellenbosch via the Helshoogte Pass.
