The chefs at Franschhoek Cellar have put together the perfect Winter menu for the day’s festivities. Artisanal sourdough pizzas, grilled sirloin Paninis and pulled pork tacos will be sold, so go hungry! The Sweet Station will satisfy your wildest dessert craving. It is a day suited to the whole family as the venue is perfect for young children with its secure and supervised kiddies’ area. Live music will round off the perfect day out to the Franschhoek Wine Valley.
Drink in the incredible views in Franschhoek at Mont Rochelle, where you can enjoy sundowners with their 2-for-1 special on all drinks from the bar menu (5pm – 7pm). Apart from their signature cocktails and mocktails, they also serve craft gin and a selection of beers and ciders. Small bar snacks and a light menu is also available to order.
Dinner will offer the perfect opportunity to celebrate with Dad as many restaurants are offering special seasonal menus. Choose between Bovine Restaurant’s set two (R200 per person) and three course (R250 per person) dinner menus or book your table at The Dining Room at Leeu Estates where they are offering a special three course menu at R350 per person, which includes a glass of Mullineux & Leeu Family Wines.

A great way to round off the weekend is a pitstop at the Franschhoek Motor Museum where there will be more than enough motoring action on the go. Ranging from golden oldies to modern supercars, more than 80 motoring masterpieces from their collection will be on display. Dads only pay half price on Father’s Day!
Sunday lunch menu options will have your spoilt for choice. Opt for a 3-course lunch, with a signature twist on South African heritage food, at Grande Provence (including a glass of bubbly on arrival) or enjoy a traditional Cape buffet at the historic Rhone Homestead at Boschendal. Paulina’s Restaurant at Rickety Bridge will also offer a hearty three-course lunch on Sunday (R380 per person). Little ones under 12 can enjoy lunch from the à la carte kiddies menu.
