Small and perfectly formed: Franschhoek Craft Festival 2016

All things artisanal, handmade and lovingly crafted are celebrated this weekend at the Franschhoek Craft Festival. Craft, of course, refers to food and drink made in traditional or non-mechanised ways by individuals and small companies.

What you can expect is heaps of goodness, delicious bites and sips, and some covetable clothes, jewellery, art and luxury leather goods. Experience passion, commitment and craft first-hand at the inaugural Franschhoek Craft Festival this summer! This one-of-a-kind festival takes place at Môreson wine farm—on 5 November 2016 between 11am and 5pm.

You’ll be in good hands with plenty of local wines, Cap Classique, craft brews and small batch spirits. Môreson’s farm restaurant, Bread & Wine will be on-hand with their famed, artisan charcuterie and breads, with many other craft and fine food producers taking matters into their own hands offering cheeses, pastries, chocolates and so much more.”

GM of Môreson, Nikki Friedman says: “This will be hands-down the best showcase of all South Africa’s local craft-producers. I’m excited not because people are making craft goods, but that there are doing them so fabulously. Come see for yourself.”

Live music will get the vibe going, and with plenty to do for all age groups, it makes a perfect family day out.

Tickets, which include entry and tastings of the wines on show, cost R180 per person and can be booked directly via www.webtickets.co.za.

Family owned and run Wine Farm, Môreson is home to Miss Molly Wine and Bubbly and Môreson Wines and MCC.
