Warm up with a trio of delicious homemade soups for the ultimate winter wine tasting experience at Constantia Glen. The selection of wholesome winter warmers on offer from 3 May till the end of August, is a good reason to get cosy at the picturesque boutique wine estate situated just 20 minutes from the Cape Town city centre.
Available in single servings or a sampler of all three, visitors can tuck into Constantia Glen’s famous traditional Austrian Beef Goulash or delicious Roasted Butternut & Sage soups, both served with freshly baked baguette; or opt for their rich French Onion soup served with crispy Gruyere toast. (I’d definitely go for the sampler trio, but then I’m known to be greedy with terminal FOMO.)
Each of these soups can be perfectly partnered with one of Constantia Glen’s elegant, cool climate wines. Add an additional mouth-watering platter of artisanal cheese and charcuterie to your experience and enjoy the wonderful winter views.
The homemade soups are available at R90 per single serving, or R95 for the trio of smaller portions. Wines are available by the glass from R50 if you want to linger over lunch for a laid-back afternoon.
