Father’s Day comes but once a year, but he’s there for you 24/7 – so why not spoil the Big Guy in your life with a weekend in Franschhoek? The Valley is looking beautiful this time of the year, it’s quieter and more serene than in summer, plus you get some ace Winter Specials on food and accommodations, too.

Start your morning with a leisurely breakfast at one of Franschhoek’s best breakfast spots: get cozy at Bistro BonBon to the crackling sound of a wood-burning fireplace, while you enjoy breakfast for only R100 per person which including tea or coffee.

After breakfast, you can make your way to the Franschhoek Cellar at 11am to join in Franschhoek Winter Wines Festival, where you will be able to taste more than 18 of Franschhoek’s best seasonal red wines. The chefs at Franschhoek Cellar have put together the perfect Winter menu for the day’s festivities. Artisanal sourdough pizzas, grilled sirloin Paninis and pulled pork tacos will be sold, so go hungry! The Sweet Station will satisfy your wildest dessert craving. It is a day suited to the whole family as the venue is perfect for young children with its secure and supervised kiddies’ area. Live music will round off the perfect day out to the Franschhoek Wine Valley.
